From the Author

Welcome to Coaching for Leadership!

In Coaching for Leadership, my co-editors and I have brought together the coaching philosophies and methods of the world’s top leading coaching professionals for the simple purpose of helping leaders achieve positive, measurable change for themselves, their people and their teams.

Nearly twenty years ago, I co-founded Keilty, Goldsmith & Company. Our leadership development, coaching, and feedback processes have impacted over one million people in leading organizations around the world. During this time, I’ve seen coaching dramatically increase in popularity and emerge as a field in which leaders around the world are partaking both as coaches and as those being coached. But, the understanding of what executive coaching is and how it can increase leaders’ effectiveness has not grown as fast as the application of this process.

In putting together Coaching for Leadership, our aim is to give the reader an understanding of how coaching works, why it works, and how leaders can make the best use of the coaching process.
